Action day for visibility in effect through 4 p.m. Tuesday

Poor visibility due to air pollution will remain in the seven-county Boulder-Denver metro area through 4 p.m. Tuesday.

An action day for air visibility went into effect at 4 p.m. Monday, meaning indoor burning is restricted and motorists are asked to limit driving, according to a state news release.

Other than poor visibility, good or moderate air quality conditions are expected Tuesday. No air quality advisories are in effect.

The advisory follows metro-area action days for visibility due to air quality March 4 through Thursday. There also were advisories about elevated levels of particulates March 5 through Thursday, with state officials advising that people with heart or lung disease, older adults and children reduce prolonged or heavy indoor and outdoor exertion.
