Boulder Valley Schools cancels school amid law enforcement search for armed woman

Boulder Valley Schools announced just after midnight on social media schools would be closed Wednesday due to a manhunt by Front Range law enforcement for an 18-year-old woman police say came to Colorado and bought a shotgun.

, FBI officials and Denver metro area police are actively searching for Sol Pais, who traveled to Colorado from Miami and is reported to be “infatuated with (the) Columbine school shooting.”

Sunday is the 20th anniversary of the Columbine High School shooting by two students that killed 13 people.

Pais was believed to be in the Denver-Littleton area Tuesday afternoon.

Boulder Valley also announced after-school activities and athletics were canceled Wednesday.
