LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Stop ballot harvesting

By – – Monday, March 4, 2019

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

It appears House Speaker wants to revisit the voting rights bill, on which the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that requiring states to seek permission to change their voting laws was out of date. Whats’s more interesting is the new studies showing that voter ID laws do not suppress voters from voting. It is not that difficult to obtain a photo ID from a department of motor vehicles. I did it for my wife.

Perhaps a court ruling requiring California to remove 1.5 million names from its voter roles has irritated . She should invest her time passing legislation banning ballot harvesting and enforcing states to clean up their voting rolls.
