“The View” co-host Meghan McCain slammed conservative pundit for invoking her late father while attacking moderate Republicans on immigration during a speech Friday at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference.

“I care that ‘the ghost’ of my beloved father was used as ghoulish and deeply disturbed political propaganda on CPAC’s stage, but hey maybe that’s just me,” Ms. McCain, an anti-Trump Republican whose father, late Republican Sen. John McCain, died last year of brain cancer.

Ms. McCain was reacting to a given by at CPAC in Maryland, where she argued that the unrelenting flow of immigrants illegally entering the country or overstaying their visas was threatening America’s greatness.

“Sanctuary cities have metastasized and both parties are to blame,” told the crowd. “And yes, I’m looking at you, retired Paul Ryan. And yes, I’m looking at you, Mitch McConnell. And yes, I’m looking at you, Bush family.

“And yes, I’m looking at you, the ghost of John McCain,” she said, pointing to the sky.

Cindy McCain, the senator’s widow, fired back in a Friday night, writing, “ You never knew . You should be so lucky.”

Meghan McCain also blasted the CPAC audience “that openly applauds my father’s death.”

showed no signs of backing down from her criticism, in response, “So triggered.”

She also tweeted a link to a 2008 blog that labeled the late senator a “shamnesty peddler.”
