Nebraska women‘s tennis coach suspended following DUI arrest

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) – Nebraska women’s tennis head coach has been suspended without pay following his arrest last week on suspicion of driving drunk.

The Lincoln reports that was suspended Wednesday. His suspension is set to run through March 27. During that time, he will not be involved in any team activities, practices or matches.

Police say the 59-year-old was stopped the night of March 7 after an officer said he spotted the coach weave onto the shoulder of a road. Police say testing showed ’s blood-alcohol level registered .127 percent, more than the legal driving limit of .08 percent.
