Seven people injured in stabbing at west London restaurant

Cops were called to Southall around 11am this morning and found a man in his 20s with a slash injury. 

He was taken to hospital along with two others, and the other four victims were treated at the scene. 

At least two people have been arrested and police currently believe two groups were involved. 

Ealing Police said in a statement: “Officers are in #Southall Broadway following calls at around 11.10am to an assault in a restaurant. At this early stage, we believe two groups were involved.

“One male (aged in his 20s) has been taken to hospital suffering a slash injury. At least two people arrested.”

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We were called at 11.14am this morning to reports of an incident on The Broadway, Southall.

“We sent three ambulance crews to the scene and an incident response officer.

“We treated seven people at the scene and took three of the seven to hospital.”

Pictures from the scene show a police cordon outside the restaurant Dawat. 

An employee from restaurant Spice Village told MyLondon: “When I came at around 12.15pm, I saw two police cars and a cordon. Nobody can go inside now.

“A guy passing told me there was a fight inside.”

Ealing Southall MP Virendra Sharma tweeted: “Saddening news from Southall Broadway, I have been in touch with the police for an update on local safety.”
